AI Settings

Overview
AI features (assistant tools, staff agents, knowledge base, chatbot) require an OpenAI-compatible API key and firm AI credits.
Platform AI settings
Super Admin → Settings → AI / OpenAI

| Default credits | Starting credit behaviour |
Click Test OpenAI after saving.
Note: The API key comes from your OpenAI account (or any OpenAI-compatible provider). It's a long secret string. Paste it in, keep it private and never share it.
Firm credits
Super Admin → AI Credits
- View balances per firm
- Add Credits when a firm runs low
- Review usage charts
The Firm Admin sidebar shows remaining credits on AI Assistant.

Notes
Note: Without credits or an API key, AI tools return errors instead of content.
Best Practices
- Top up credits before campaigns that use marketing generation.
- Review AI Staff drafts before approving client-facing messages.
- Keep knowledge base documents up to date for accurate chatbot answers.
